To Arabia and Beyond, watercolour by Kate Hopkins

To Arabia and Beyond Watercolour

Kate Hopkins is currently working on a new collection, Under a Monsoon Sky, inspired by her travels through India during the monsoon season. This includes To Arabia and Beyond seen above. This watercolour painting explores the juxtaposition of humanity and its environmental impact contrasted by a nation of spirituality and its value of nature. These questions are delivered through a view from Juhu Beach, Mumbai, towards Oman, over the Arabian Sea, under a monsoon sky.

Kate Hopkins most recently exhibited The Reconsider Collection at St. Nicholas Church, Gloucester during July 2010.

As a freelance portrait artist and illustrator, she also undertakes private commissions.
